At Retail IT Connect, we spoke to Jonathan Summerfield, CEO and Founder of Xiatech, to learn why they continue to sponsor

Why did you choose to sponsor Retail IT Connect?

Jonathan: We have sponsored in the past and continue to sponsor because the quality of the attendees is better than at any other event. Our conversations are much more valuable, the organisation is great, and the 30-minute 1-1 meetings are longer and more high-quality than at any other event. There is also great content within the sessions; as well as being able to speak yourself and present as a thought leader.

How have you found the networking opportunities?

Jonathan: We always have great conversations because everyone is open and willing to share. Everyone is happy to speak to people within their network, but they don’t hold back from speaking to solution providers like ourselves.

How many 1-1 meetings have you had?

Jonathan: We have had twelve pre-scheduled 1-1 meetings, and I would say eight of them will lead to a good follow-up. We also met some people unofficially during the networking breaks, which hopefully we will follow up with.

We used the attendee profiling information to plan our meetings. We looked at every criterion they checked and ensured it matched what we provided; then we looked at where they want to invest over the next six to twelve months. Pre-filtering the delegates is very important to us.
