At Retail IT Connect, we spoke to Rizwan Khan, Coforge's Corporate Director, to learn why they chose to continue sponsoring
Rizwan: This is the second year we've sponsored this event, and we’ve chosen to sponsor again based on the quality and seniority of the delegates and the networking opportunities available. We can meet and engage face-to-face with new and existing customers in a good, calm environment.
Rizwan: The calibre of the delegates is just right, and we're engaging with all the people we want to. It's very valuable to get intros with some who may be difficult otherwise in their busy working lives. They are all C-level and very relevant, and it's very important to understand their roadmap strategy for the next 6 – 12 months.
Rizwan: We have found the networking opportunities have allowed us to have casual conversations with our target audience, break the ice, and have a good time. We’ve also managed to have a couple of meetings during them as well.
Rizwan: We’ve had 13 pre-scheduled 1-1 meetings, in addition to these, we’ve met with around 30 delegates over the two days. The plan is to meet with all of them again as everyone’s been receptive and would like to.
Rizwan: The sessions have been great. They have shown us what the industry’s doing, the market trends, how the retail sector is growing, and some of the challenges it’s facing. It re-confirms that we're in the right place, and have the solutions for these clients.
Rizwan: Ten out of ten. We will probably look to come back again. This is one of the higher quality, private events. The calibre of the delegates we want to engage with is right, and getting intros with some of these senior-level delegates is difficult without attending an event like this. It's a good, calm environment, and it's positive all around.
